Opinion Pieces

Post by lizardwrites »

Hey all--Posting here a lot today because I'm just getting started on CC.

I see a lot of advice that states that writers should keep "I" and "You" out of the pieces that they write for this site. Would you all say that that goes for reviews of items as well?

Thanks.

Yes. We do not accept content that contains the first-person POV. This is stated in our submission guidelines.

Thanks,

You can certainly write something like: When writing articles for submission, you should proofread them at least five times.

You can't write: I always proofread my articles for submission at least five times.

The first one is addressed to your reader. Most of the articles you'll find with the first example will be tutorials. That's not to say that some other articles cannot be written in that style.
