Hi there,
I'm relatively new to Constant Content, and have published/sold a few articles. I have been wondering if I should be categorizing my pieces as blog entries or articles. Do you have any suggestions? Is one more popular than the other? Are there different guidelines for each?
I've looked around on the forums, but haven't found any answers as of yet.
Thanks so much. I appreciate your assistance.

Re: Blogs vs. Articles
I have the same question. What defines a blog vs an article according to Constant Content? Is it length, or are there other criteria?
Thanks for your help.
Thanks for your help.
Re: Blogs vs. Articles
Blog entries are usually shorter and more to-the-point. They are pieces you could envision appearing as an entry on someone's blog.
The majority of submissions will fall under a subcategory in "Articles." At any rate, if you place all of your submissions there, customers will be just as likely to find them through our search function.

Re: Blogs vs. Articles
Thanks Ed! Some pro-bloggers are encouraging long entries in blogs, so length can become confusing. People looking for blog entries might well look at the articles section when they want more length. Appreciate your helpful answer.
Re: Blogs vs. Articles
Thanks for the info. As a new writer I also found it confusing on what determined a blog entry vs an artile. I couldn't find anything in the guidelines that showed the difference and I wasn't finding any real differences between the writings when I looked at the authors submissions for each. It was my first feeling that a blog entry would usually be written in the first person since most blogs are done in a diary format. I guess with the progress of blogs, the differences between their entries and an actual article is now very thin. Yes, I think I'll let everything go through the article category and be safe.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm still curious about the blog vs. article debate. Is there any effect on sales based on which category you select?
