One more observation and then I'll sign off for the night. Some wordiness may be related to SEO. Keyword phrases such as "teens with behavior problems" may be better than "misbehaving teens" depending on the keyword research you've done. If you're writing with SEO in mind, then use your phrase strategically. However, a few "misbehaving teens" in place of your wordier primary keyword phrase may help both in flow and in organic search results.
