Do articles submitted for requests get reviewed faster?

I recently wrote my first article for a request, and despite what some people have told me, the articles do take a considerable amount of time before I hear about them. I was just wondering if an article submitted for a request comes along any faster?

Hi,
If you mark the request that the article is written for, I believe that the article is flagged for priority review. It still make take a few days depending on the volume and the CC editor's workload. Good luck and welcome!

The first few are always the hardest. Plus it's the weekend, so hang tight if you can. Start working on the next one and it might help get your mind off it.
