Question about First Person POV

Post by bg13 »

My article, "In the Minds of Men," was rejected. It was a response to a request that was posted.

I received an e-mail telling me that this site does not accept articles written in the first person. I re-read my article and found one use of "I" which was in parenthetical expression, mind you. Nowhere did I use "me." The request wanted an honest opinion from a man's perspective about certain questions and topics for female readers.

I revised the one use of "I." Would that be enough? Or am I not to make it known that I'm a dude?

Our guidelines state that we do not accept articles that use the first-person POV. Your article will be reviewed more thoroughly when it is submitted according to our guidelines.
