Paragraph Coherence

Post by Ed »

Hi Writers,

I was looking for some existing information on writing coherent paragraphs, and thought this was a nice summation of the topic:

http://www.indiana.edu/~wts/pamphlets/paragraphs.shtml

Of course, you probably aren't writing an essay, but the tips in this document are relevant to article writing. The portion that discusses coherency can be found about halfway down the page.

Thanks,
Ed

That's kinda cool. They listed "for example" as a good way to transition. I use that phrase but always thought it wasn't the best idea. w00t! Go me!

Well, at least one person read it!

You might find the following page useful:

Lots of transition words here.

LOL That one actually has "last but not least" and "to make a long story short" crossed out. I would think those fall under cliche type stuff anyway.
