I've had two articles rejected for unidentified grammar problems. Since I have an English degree, I feel like I'm banging my head against a wall trying to figure out what CC considers good grammar. Does CC use the the AP style of writing, business copywriting style, Prentice-Hall Handbook for Writers or Chicago Manual of Style? Also, does CC prefer two spaces at the end of sentence or one? I'm having trouble finding this information on the CC website.
I'm assuming that sentence fragments used in business copywriting are discouraged at CC.
I've also seen that self-promotion in an article is discouraged, but I've also seen that bylines are acceptable if included in the body of the article. Are bylines discouraged or encouraged?
Thanks in advance. Off to take Excedrin.

Re: Grammar Question
Bylines are encouraged so the buyer knows who to credit the article to if he buys unique or usage rights. You're just not supposed to include any bio or contact info in your article. You can put bio info in your CC Author Profile and customers can contact you through your CC website email.
I'll let Ed answer your other questions.

Re: Grammar Question
Most rejections occur due to very basic grammar errors that defy rules that would be the same in every grammar book you pick up. If the immediate problem was with formatting, your rejection notification would have said so.
Whether you include your byline is up to you. If being credited as the author of the work is important to you, byline information should be included in the document itself.
Thanks,
Ed
