Stolen Articles on Articlesbase.com

Post by LindaM »

I found 2 of my articles on articlesbase.com. A thief named Mike has nearly 100 posts, check him out.

I read a forum post earlier about this same thief named Mike. You might want to check out that post as well, because it linked to a second site where "Mike" has been posting his stolen articles. The other post was listed under "Common Place" with the heading, "More Stolen Articles - check to see if yours are here".

And he has the audacity to post his picture. Actually, that's probably not his either.

So, I went through all his pages. I recognize a lot of titles from CC writers, so just a heads up.

If you write dating, relationship, dog and affiliate networking articles, you should check out this jerk's articles. Twitter writers should check too. He's stole a few Internet marketing articles, but I don't see mine on there. I recognize a LOT of his titles. I didn't go through the article, but since I read the front page articles on CC, I recognize the titles.

Thanks for the tip on dogs, Lysis, I found one of mine. So what's the procedure? Shoot off a mail to support, and post a message there saying this is stolen content?

Thanks

Gets better and better. He's actually taken one article on pet health tips and broken it up into two articles!

Dog writers, please check.

Thanks for the heads up guys. I think all of the posted articles have been lifted from cc authors. Contact support with a cc link to any of your articles that are involved. These are the times when I almost wish that I didn't have a stockpile of articles as I have at least a dozen that have been taken and placed on there. WG

I found one of the same titles also posted as stolen on EzineArticles. And this article was already posted on other sites (probably because they got it on the free article directory).

I contacted articlesbase.com directly through their 'contact us' page. http://www.articlesbase.com/contact-us.php

To make matters worse, one of my dog articles was not only stolen by Mike, but then stolen from him and placed on someone's 'all about dogs' blog. There is no way to contact the thief there.

Yuck, this just goes on and on....

Linda, do a whois on the blog's domain name. Also, if it's on something like blogger or blogspot, contact them. They are good about removing it.

Just to follow up, I've communicated with articlebase and linkroll the situation and asked them to take the articles down.

I'll let you know as soon as I have any further information.

Audrabianca,

Would it be possible to post the link for the stolen article on EzineArticles? I wasn't able to find anything.

Thanks
