It was rejected twice for formatting errors because of Word 2007 defaults, but after I got that figured out it passed.

So what software issues can stop an article getting accepted? I have just submitted my first using word 2003 and would hate to get my 1st strike because of software screw-ups rather than bad writing.

Not software issues exactly. It's just that Word 2007 defaults to the font Calibri 11 pt. and CC want Arial or Time 12 pt. I've set Word 2007 to default to Times New Roman 12 pt. so no more problems with that. Oh, and it also saves documents as .docx which are not accepted. I have been saving everything as .rtf instead.
