Review Frustration
Hi,
Is there any way articles written in answer to a request could be hurried through the review que? For the second time my articles were not even considered because they were not approved before the buyer made a decision. I find this to be a very frustrating problem and perhaps something could be done to alleviate the situation.
I'm sure I'm not the only writer on CC that feels this way. Unfortunately, when articles are written specifically for a request using suggested material as background, the articles can be used for nothing else and time was wasted on articles the buyer never got to read.
I hope a solution to this problem can be found. Thanks for listening.

We approve all reviews written for requests before approving other articles, and we do so throughout the day. However, some writers are more speedy than others (not always a good thing), and if there have been no other request submissions made within an approval period, then there is nothing we can do about that.
Today I approved all of the Bath Body Junky articles in one batch, alternating authors and subjects. We try to do our best to make it fair, but it isn't all in the editors' hands. Submissions come in all hours of the day.
I can understand your frustration, but my suggestion is that you should write your best at whatever speed is best for you. The requesters will eventually choose writing styles to suit their needs once they see that there are many authors submitting to the same request.
Hope this helps,
Ed

Good morning,
Thank you for your response and it's good to know that the articles in response to requests are looked at first.
I am not a fast writer, but a thorough one most of the time. Yesterday I had at least two of the articles sent in by 11:30 am EST. My point is that the articles were not looked at as they came in, otherwise, I would not have received notification of their approval all at once. Having one out of three seen at least gives the writer a fighting chance.
I am wondering why a small excerpt of the article could not be posted with a note that it is under review when time is of the essence. Just a thought on how to better improve the system that we depend on to have our work seen.
I do appreciate the work that admin and editors do. I also realize that there are extenuating circumstances that cause glitches in systems. Again, thank you for your time.
Have a great day.

Simply, articles are not immediately looked at when they come in every time because we do not approve 24/7. The editors go into the que when time permits - we have tried a set schedule, but that doesn't work for us, for the site, or for the writers, so we work when we can devote the proper amount of time and attention to the articles in the q.
Working together, the editors can usually clear the que daily or twice daily. However, I hope it is understandable that we cannot clear it hourly.
Thanks,
Ed

Like Ed, I always approve the requested articles first. On Wed morning of this week, I approved 40 articles. However, today I had business obligations that didn't allow me to edit articles in the am hours. I always try my best to do morning edits, but it isn't always possible. I think Ed has given you a very good description of the editing process. Thank you for your understanding. AA

I have tried for Bath Body Junky a couple of times, but now I see the problem - I live on the other side of the world, in Australia - so there is no hope of catching such a fast moving train.
Thanks for the explanations, I have decided to give these short calls a miss. But congrats to those who were quicker off the mark.

Offer to proofread or edit
I went through this thread and saw that the problem maybe that you do not have anyone who is working rould the clock, or to be precise, during what is night time in your part of the world.
I am a qualified editor and proofreader from Singapore, and if you are okay to hire a long-distance proofreader/editor, I am available. You can check my articles for my English, give me a test, whatever.
I do a lot of freelance editing on the web and may be able to help out out with the time difference problem due to my location.
If admin is interested, please contact me on my mail, and we can discuss this. Hope this helps.
Cheers,
Damyanti
