Selling an article
I stumbled across a post on another forum that was seeking articles about health related topics. They were looking for articles, not first rights necessarily, that dealt with recreation/health. I wrote an article on swimming for seniors and posted it here that would be perfect. I sold 1 usage of the article here, so consequently I can't sell unique rights to it again. My question is, is it ethical or permissible for me to sell them usage of that article? I don't want to do anything that undermines my working relationship with this site, and that's why I'm asking.
So long as you are just selling it as usage, you should be able to sell it to whomever you want, where ever you want. The main thing is just to ensure that they are only buying usage of it and not expecting exclusive or full rights to this piece.
That would be my take on it anyhow. I don't think there's anything unethical about it.

You can not sell the article again else where and still offer unique rights or full rights here. As long as you're just asking "Usage" this is fine. Since we list the number of times the article has been downloaded, this way the customer can decide if a unique or full rights purchase is worth it. Some customers will still buy an article under a usage license if it has only been downloaded once. If you sell the article else where the customer doesn't realize the article has been actually been sold twice.
