Account Deletion

Post by PREZ »

Does anyone know how to delete your account? I can't seem to find the option. I'm finding that submitting and getting summarily rejected every time is becoming old hat. I know I'm a good enough writer having been published and paid to do so many times over so I just don't see the point in keeping an account active with all of my information.

Any help here would be greatly appreciated.

Rejections are for actual errors - CC wants error free work. Are you unable to fix the errors?

That's not it at all. I just find it counter productive to continue to submit articles they say has errors but won't say what the errors are. I find none so therefore for me to continue to attempt to write for this site is a colossal waste of my time. I'd be better off selling the article somewhere else. And since that article-of which there are no errors to speak of-is representative of how I write, doesn't make a whole lot of sense for me to keep trying. I know the whole routine works here and how they are looking for perfect writers. I concede that I'm not a perfect writer and I don't want to become one at the price that's being offered for an on spec article. So I humbly want to bow out and cancel this account but I can't find anywhere in my account or on the site where this is possible. I don't like my information available on accounts I don't use, hence the question.

Thanks.

I would advise against burning your bridges. You never know when you might change your mind and decide to give C-C another try.

I understand the frustration, though. After submitting six articles to C-C over the past year and having each one sell, I recently decided to step up my efforts and submit content here more often. Each piece was rejected. In defense of the editors here, upon taking another look at the articles I always found a typo that I had missed the first time around. Still, it would be nice for rejection messages to contain something more helpful and specific than "We don't accept content with errors."

I emailed to ask if this might be a possibility, and was told that it is being worked on. I dunno. It makes sense to me. When any of my other customers sends a piece back for a rewrite, they tell me why. A shorter turnaround time for rewrites means more money for everyone.
