I Thought I Could Sell Previously Sold Articles For Usage

I just got an instant rejection for an article I submitted for usage only. The article is online at AC. I thought I could resell it here, the request from the client was perfect for it.

Am I wrong about this?

Hello,
You can resell an AC article here if:
* You have given AC a non-exclusive license
* You are offering it here under the usage license only
* The article is obviously attributed to you (bylines match)
* The article does NOT appear without your obviously attributable name elsewhere (such as on your personal blog without a byline or posted by an article content thief under a different name or with no name)

Assuming everything is in order, the article still needs to meet all other CC guidelines such as no first person, perfect grammar etc...

Since you say you submitted it to a public request, I also wonder if that's part of the problem. Most requesters do not want reprints. They want original content that does not appear anywhere else on the Web. It's rare for public requesters to buy usage licenses - full rights is the norm.
