Rejected based on bibliography list?

I had an article under review, and it was rejected because "we do not accept content with website addresses/links." However, there were no web links in my article, but there was a bibliography attached! Are bibliographies unnecessary? I attach them out of habit, web addresses in all.

The CC writer guidelines specify no lists of references whatsoever, and no embedded references either. You can, however, post a truncated url such as "constant-content.com" without the "http" or "www" in the body of the article.

I'd advise you to read the long writer guidelines thoroughly because they are extremely arcane and obscure and you need to familiarize yourself with them thoroughly before submitting here.
