Articles on Electronic Cigarettes
Title says it all. I have considerable knowledge in this area, and I am well aware of the relevant legal implications both in the UK and in the States. I've written factual (as opposed to promotional) articles on the subject before. I'd just like to know if it would be acceptable to write articles for CC on electronic cigarettes as an alternative to smoking. Thanks in advance for any advice!

I'd not heard of these before so I looked it up. Looks like a smokin hot topic. Why not write about it?

I have an article about rolling your own cigarettes. I have some partials about the tobacco industry, taxes on same, and government regulation in the works. My best advice is to write about it.

Just be sure to add that the USB rechargeable electronic cigarettes have easily losable parts in at least some of the articles. I have a seventy dollar one that is useless to me because an attachment ring disappeared while in the carrying case.

Re: Articles on Electronic Cigarettes
I think articles on electronic cigarettes would sell, depending on other factors, such as article length, complexity and price.
St. Louis is going smoke-free as of January 1, 2011, so electronic cigarettes might become a hot retail item there and article demand in that region might increase. By contrast, Toronto passed by-laws about two years ago to include electronic cigarettes in the definition of regular tobacco products, which can't be smoked indoors in public places, so interest in such articles would be much less for that market.
