I was just wondering if someone could help me work out why I've had my account suspended. I only registered yesterday and sent in my first article along with my registration. I was waiting for it to be approved (or otherwise) when I received an email this morning regarding a request for some articles. I logged on and was told that I could still submit an article on this topic and have that await approval alongside my original article.
The first draft of this second article got rejected for the use of first person narrative (which I admit I did accidentally slip in by mistake) and some grammatical errors (which I couldn't find). So anyway, I re-worded the bits that had been first person and re-did a bit of it and changed any grammar that I presumed they mustn't have liked (maybe difference between UK English and US English?) Anyway, I've just had an email informing me that:
".... Unfortunately, this article requires revision before we can accept it..... "
but it then goes on to say:
"We do not accept content with grammar errors, sentence structure errors, or other errors. Your submissions do not meet our requirements. Your account has been suspended. We will consider no more of your work."
I am absolutely baffled as to where these grammar errors, sentence structure errors or other errors are and I feel that suspending my account is absolutely absurd when I've only just joined. Sure, I made a mistake the first time, but to suspend me when they suggested that I just re-submitted it after that first attempt is absolutely ridiculous in my opinion.
What do I do? I have emailed them for an explanation but thought I'd ask on here to see if anyone could shed any light or experience on this? I feel like I've been treated very unfairly and like I have completely wasted time.
For the record, I have two books published here in the UK so I do feel as though I could bring some quality articles to this website - I'm not just trying to make a fast buck, I genuinely do feel as though something has been overlooked?

I'm sorry you had a bad experience with C-C, Sarah. When support gets back to you, I hope the explanation is straightforward and clear. Your experience is another illustration of how careful we must all be about our writing--even really, really good writers make mistakes, and around here we have to stay on our toes.
Good luck in the future, and I hope everything works out for you.
