My article was rejected today due to "macros"

Post by JulieMSSB »

I wrote my first article entitled "Don't Let the Bed Bugs Bite", and it was rejected immediately... reason given was "we cannot accept articles with Macros".
I don't see anything in the submission guidelines about macros. I only barely understand what macros are and I don't see why they exist in my article. Can anyone clarify this rejection for me please?
I am a bit discouraged.
Thanks

Is it possible that in researching your topic, you copied and pasted info from a website into your document, and then later edited it out? The only reason I mention this...is because I did some re-writes for clients on another site (web content, news articles, product descriptions), and I noticed that when I'd copy text from certain sites and add it to my document (and later eliminate it after the re-write), my word program would give me a warning about macros being disabled to protect my computer from possible threats. If you're copying and pasting during your research, perhaps it's possible that these macros somehow linger in your document. Does anyone know if this is the case?
