Changing Titles for Resubmitted Articles

Post by ENash »

Hi all,

Does anyone know how to change the title of an article when resubmitting it? In order for my article to be accepted I think I probably need to change the title. Can I just simply tell the editor that I want to change the title in the comments section?

I also have a little question about hyphenation for any grammar experts out there. Is the term "gluten-free dieters" acceptable? Should it be "gluten free dieters" instead? I think the hyphen should be in there since "gluten-free" is modifying "dieters", but my article apparently has hyphenation problems. "Gluten-free dieters" seems to be correct though since "gluten-free diets" is correct. I'm a little confused!

Thanks for your help everyone. I'm learning fast but it's tough being a newbie!

I agree with you on the hyphen; it should be there. See my reply about the title on another thread.

I think gluten-free dieters implies the dieters have no gluten in them which is incorrect. That is different than gluten-free diet. A diet can be gluten-free. Just play with your words a bit and rephrase what you want to say. Such as individuals/those/people/a person... on a gluten-free diet... or even people that are eliminating gluten from their diet.
