I have had two articles returned to me for formatting issues. I wrote them in Times New Roman, 12pt, properly spaced paragraphs.
Both articles showed up to the editors as being in a different font with 11pt. I checked it on my computer, made certain I reset the values, just in
case, and submitted again.
I still got rejected for having it be in 11pt font.
What gives?
I am paranoid that I'm going to be permanently booted off here before I even get started, and I can't figure out why it looks fine on my
computer but changes when it gets to their editing process.

That's pretty standard. Not sure what CC's seeing. I wish I could be more help but it's a mystery to me...Maybe try uploading it to Google Docs or some other site and see if for some reason the font changes?
Re: Serious formatting snafu
It's really stressing me out. That's two strikes...and for formatting!!
I did read the guidelines before submitting, I set the docs up to be in proper paragraph spacing, font, ect.

Try not to stress - the so-called strikes are in place for weeding out people with writing skills that aren't quite up to snuff. The editors understand the nuances and technicalities involved in submitting articles here. They're not going to keep track of things like formatting. If you want to email a file to me, I'd be happy to take a look and see if it's appearing as it should. My email is my: firstname [at] firstlastname.com. Keep in mind, I'm just another CC writer, not a CC editor, so my opinion will be just that.

Okay. I have a suggestion on this.
Make sure your 'Normal' paragraph style is set to Times New Roman, 12 pt font. I know that in some cases, if the normal style is set to something, the document will arrive in that style not what you thought you had set. Just a thought.
