Articles not reviewed in submission date order

I submitted 1 article for review on 11/27 and then submitted another article for review on 11/30. The article I submitted on the 30th has been reviewed and accepted. The article I submitted on the 27th has not been reviewed yet. Just wondering if it's normal for articles to be reviewed out of submission date order. Thanx.

HI Bev,

That has happened to me. The editors have a bit of leeway in choosing the articles they review. However, you might want to take the time to give the article a once over just in case you missed something that needs to be edited.
