I received an offer on one of my articles a week ago. I accepted it, or so I thought, that day. When I intially viewed the offer, there is a drop down box to change between 'accepted' and 'refused'. I chose 'accepted' a week ago, and nothing has happened since. Am I doing something wrong? I would have expected some sort of feedback from the site such as 'You have sold an article' or such. He offered a price, I accepted. Does he now have to accept my acceptance? The system is wonky. Can someone who has responded to an offer in this manner be of any assistance?
Thank you.

The way the system is currently setup, the customer does need to come back to buy the article at the agreed upon price. Sometimes it can take the customer a little while to do this. If you contact support we may be able to help speed things up.

Thank you. The system seems a little confusing, and I thank you for clearing that up.

It is a bit wonky; I agree with that. You can email the author to remind them that you've submitted your article. It does work, as I've found in the past, but you do feel like you're harrassing them a bit. It stinks a bit of desperation.
Perhaps you guys at constant could take out the final acceptance step. After all, once a customer has said yes then it should be over and done with. Oh and a counter offer to their counter offer needs to be put in place.

I'd like to see this happen and I'm hoping it can in the next little while. It will necessitate that the customer have enough credits on his account to cover the offer, which might take a bit of dev work, but I think it's the way to go too.csjwilkinson wrote:Perhaps you guys at constant could take out the final acceptance step. Re: Article offer and acceptance
In my experience, a customer doesn't always follow through with a purchase, even when an offer is accepted. By the time you are informed or find the offer, your acceptance may be too late if their need was urgent. Or they may continue to look while they are waiting and find something else that suits at the right price. Anyway, I hope you get your sale.
Re: Article offer and acceptance
It would also be useful if an offer triggered an email to the author. I personally have had offers sitting there for a long while before I became aware of their existence. Its not always easy to check back in as often as I would like.

Sorry to bump this but I have three that could do with a nudge. As per the content of this thread, are there any plans to clean up the accepted process?
