passive voice use
is passive voice use classified as "grammar error" in article writing? And if so, is it a concrete reason for account suspension?
Re: passive voice use
Not in my experience... I know that active voice is often preferred to passive voice but in my experience there are certain types of article to which a good number of passive sentences are better suited, and which I have written, had accepted, and sold on several occasions. Maybe an overuse of passive voice coupled with too many other errors would be a legitimate reason for suspension.juan wrote:is passive voice use classified as "grammar error" in article writing? Re: passive voice use
Yeah passive voice is fine as long as it's not awkward.

Re: passive voice use
I know this is an old post but I thought I'd add a few comments:
Passive voice slows down reading. Most of the articles we write end up on the Web where people like to read quickly. So passive voice ought to be kept at a minimum. I myself have used passive voice a lot. I'm unlearning the habit.
