1. How long on average does it take to sell a piece of your work (For a cheap price)?

2. How long does it take to get the money into your Paypal account when the buyer buys your piece of work?

3. From the writer's guidelines, it said in the long summary you must COPY AND PASTE at least 1/3 of your article, and put it in the long summary. Will others be able to view this information, and do we have to copy and paste from our articles?

1. It varies - greatly. Some pieces sell just a few minutes after being approved and posted to the system. Others sit for several months or longer. Check the "requested content" section as well as the "recently sold content" section to get an idea of what's in demand right now.

2. CC pays on or around the first day of every month - if you have at least 50 dollars in your CC account. The money shows up in your PayPal account the same day.

3. Yes, we have to copy/paste from our articles. Other people can in fact see what you include in the long summary. That way, potential buyers can get a "feel" for what you're writing about, your writing style, et cetera. It's a preview, basically.

You can be selective about exactly what you copy/paste in the long summary. I usually just include the first 1/3 or so of my articles. But you can copy/paste small selections from all over your article. Just make sure that you separate each section (hit return a couple of times before you paste the next section) so that it's easy to tell where one ends and the next begins.

Hope that helps.

I'm one of the ones who posts the entire article in the long summary. I feel the risk of plagiarism is minimal and am willing to risk it. I think the buyers should be able to see what they're getting from start to finish, especially those who have requested a specific article.

But that's just me.

Thanks, do you know how to PM someone who has a request? (Let's say I have an article someone is requesting, how would I contact them?)

Celeste: hmm...judging by your number of sales, I might have to start including my full article in the long summary! :)

Your point about plagiarism makes sense, though. I can't say that I've ever really worried about it much.

I think it helps sales...

to link your article, go the original request and hit "Questions". There you can post a link and ask questions.

I think posting the whole thing helps too. I've actually played around with this the last few articles and I haven't sold any article that doesn't have the entire thing posted. I actually need to go back and re-post the entire article for what I currently have for sale. I've noticed, as I've been playing around with it, that it's a mix of authors posting 1/3, 1/2 or the whole thing.

The only article I've sold so far had 50% posted, while other articles I've submitted have 60% or even 100% (for one) posted. It could just really depend on what the customer wants and whether he thinks he understands what the article is like from what you've posted. But I haven't been here long, so that can't be evidence of a trend or anything yet.

Rieko, you bum, :)

You sold one already? Congrats!

I guess I'll have to step up my game now.

Good job on the sale.

One more question, are .DOCX file formats accepted? (I'm submitting it along with a .DOC, but I've included the original .DOCX file as well.) (A .DOCX file is a newer version of the .DOC file, created from Microsoft Word 2007.)

Also, what happens when you check "best offer"? Sorry for so many questions. [/list]

Please do not submit in docx. We are not able to open these files, and I suspect some customers aren't, either.

Michael:

Thanks. :) I got lucky I think. It just happened to sell really fast. I must have hit on just the right thing that someone needed.

Good luck with yours.

Help again. It seems that my article under review has just...disappeared. I don't see a rejection anywhere, or an acception.

When I go to "My content", it says there's nothing. Whenever I try going ANYWHERE, there's nothing. Please help?
