Rejected, purged, and can't resubmit?

Hi...I'm at a bit of a loss. I can't remember the last time I had an article returned for edits, much less just outright rejected...and I'm puzzled as to why. The title of the article was "Not Just for Finance: 6 Key Business Terms All Employees Should Master". The only comment was that it had two small images at the bottom and I should delete them -- although I'm not sure why if I can't resubmit -- and that's entirely possible, due to a copy and paste error. But why would that warrant a "Please do not resubmit"? I feel like I must have committed a huge faux pas, but I don't know what it was!
