payment

Post by audrabianca »

Dear Editors,
I can't find on the web site how the payment works. I got this link in my original registration confirmation email but the link does not work:

Frequently asked writer questions
http://www.constant-content.com/?area=t ... =authorfaq

Could you please direct me to the page where I can read how payment works, how much you get versus how much the web site gets for each article?

I know that we set our own prices and that the payment is through PayPal. But I can't find out about frequency or how the web site owners make their money on what we sell. I saw a description in this forum about once a month, but nothing about the breakdowns. TIA

Thanks.

Go to the Help files
http://www.constant-content.com/area/help.htm
and you should find most of your answers.

in short - CC gets a 35% cut -- if you sell an article for $100, you get $65, CC gets $35. So don't worry, they're making money but they are also investing it in marketing, finding new clients, maintaining the site, paying the staff, etc....

To take the pain out of the cut, it helps to realize that as you price your articles and understand that $100 really means $65. I use an Excel spreadsheet to help me with that aspect. It helps. I don't begrudge CC's fee at all because I get paid -always. No tracking down delinquent payments, no marketing, etc.... If an article sells, I get paid and I like that!

And it's pretty much a monthly payment provided you have reached the $50 threshold.

I think what you want is under "Help" in the gray nav bar at the top of the screen.

You get 65% of what you sell. Everything else either goes to affiliates or to CC. CC uses most of what it gets for advertising costs. It does not go to providing editors with massages or spa treatments.

There is a $50.00 threshold that needs to be reached before an author is paid. This occurs once monthly at the beginning of every month.
