I have a lovely image of a bespectacled gentleman running his fingers through the remaining hair in between the bald patches on his head (results of tearing his hair out because silly authors keep making the same mistakes!). Ed is probably nothing like that, but that's my mental image of our illustrous Ed.

Your Ed is remarkably like my Ed! Except my Ed is either British or was briefly educated in Britain. Actually, my Ed may or may not be either Giles from Buffy or Ducky from NCIS.
