Submitting for requested articles

Post by Angel S »

Sorry if this shows up twice, it said it didn't go through before.

I"m just trying to get all of this straight. I wrote an article for a request, and sent it in for approval. If it's approved I then go to the request(on the Q/A page) and send the article to the person who requested it, correct? Then they will let me know if they want to purchase it?

Also, is it a good idea to use the best offer feature on requested articles? Or, should you put your price and stick to it?

Thank you for all your help.

Hi, Angel --
Yes, that's the procedure. Usually the requestor will let you know just by purchasing the article - he/she won't necessarily send you a message. And don't worry - sometimes it will sit for a while before it is purchased (if it is) - so don't think if the requestor doesn't move quickly that they for sure don't want it.

My opinion only - there's no reason to do a "best offer" on a requested submission, but be sure your price is within the range that was given. Frankly I don't use "best offer" unless an article is gathering dust. It's like you said, put a fair price on new articles and stick to it. Other writers may disagree, however.

Thank you so much for replying grouchy. I thought I had it right, but just wanted to double check. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the requester will like the article, but I'm not going to hold my breath..lol. I'm still fairly new to article writing and have a lot to learn!

I've only did the best offer on one article so far. I didn't do it on the requested one.
