Every Day vs. Everyday

Post by Ed »

Writers,

Please note the difference between "every day" and "everyday."

"Everyday" is an adjective. Ex: I grow tired of these everyday chores. ("Everyday" describes "chores," a noun.)

"Every day" is an adverb and describes when someone does something. Example: Ronald completes his chores every day. ("Every day" describes *when* Ronald completes his chores.)

Wrong:
I grow tired of these everyday chores.
Ronald completes his chores everyday.
