Yet another question regarding keyword optimization....

I'm plenty familiar with keyword optimization, but I am new to this site. I am planning on taking a stab at a couple of requested articles which brings to mind a question. Do we assume that these articles should use keyword optimatization if not specified? Or can I write as if I was writing for print?

What if I am submitting my own random articles? Is it better to use keyword optimization? Is that what people are more likely to be looking for?

I think they would need to specify whether it's keyword optimized or not before you wrote it that way. That's how I approach articles I write for CC.
