Public Requests not Showing Up

I got an email about a public request that I wanted to respond to, but it's not showing up in the public requests section, nor in the drop down box on the submission form. Is it possible that the article request was pulled that quickly? Or does it take time to add the requests that are emailed out to the queue? Thanks!

The customer removed the request shortly after it was approved.

Write the piece anyway - you never know if another customer will buy it. Don't let a great idea go to waste.

Well, the piece was already written - something I had in my back log - but I don't imagine there are too many calls for erotic flash fiction on here.
