Hey guys. One of the videos for International Freelancers Day sparked an idea in me and I wanted to share it with you. It's just a little idea.
I'd like to do author introductions on my blog, and you're the best person to write about yourself. The info shouldn't be just about C-C but rather what you do as a freelance writer. I have a few other suggestions on what to write about yourself, so send me a PM through my author profile here (Evelyn Fielding) and I'll send you back an email with instructions. I'll have you write two posts about yourself and they'll be published twice, so you'll get four total exposures.
Once you've seen the instructions, if you know other writers who'd benefit from a little PR, forward the message to them. This idea isn't limited to C-C writers and C-C writing--it's about us as professionals. Thanks!!

Interesting idea... Unfortunately, I find that I can write about other people better. Unless, of course, it's in story form like how I started writing comedy.

Yeah, funny enough this post has had 48 views and not a single taker. I may be talking to the wrong crowd... If you're working on Constant Content, you probably don't need any extra work or PR. That's a testament to how good this site really is because we're not a bunch of starving freelancers. That's a good thing!

Re: Get a little PR for your freelance writing
I could use some PR, but I have that little problem outlined above.
I sometimes write reviews of my friend's books. Before I even write them however, I always warn them that I may not be able to write a favorable review. I've tried writing reviews which I felt were lies, and I just can't seem to get it. It was the same story when I was in sales years and years back. For example:
I once sold Rainbow vacuum cleaners. I believed in those, so I had an 85% closing rate.
Another job was selling silk plants business to business (traveled to quite a few states too). I knew the actual cost of the plants was less than two dollars, so I just couldn't sell them for twenty dollars very often.
I have this unfortunate problem of being honest. If I don't believe in the product I'm selling, I can't sell it worth a damn. Writing reviews, for me, is much the same as sales.
I have even more trouble writing about myself. I have a tendency to just write the facts. I've been writing, as more than an occasional hobby, for about five years now - only moving into articles within the last three. I write, but I am a father and husband first. I would truly love to write humor full time, but even I can't be funny all the time.
