I had triple-checked my articles before submission, but they were still rejected. I want to ask anybody out there about the green marks which appear during submission process.
While I was writing content excerpt and had written 1/3 of the content, a green tick appeared after the guidelines written by side, but they never appeared for-
1. Single spaced sentences.
2. No strange formatting like errant capitals...
Do I need to get a tick after each line?

No. The green mark is an automatic check that 1/3 of the article is there based on the word count you enter in the word count box. The other things are reminders so you don't make those particular formatting errors. You must still check all your work and follow the C-C guidelines.
The file you attach to the upload page is what the editor reads, and what gets sent to the customer when the article is purchased. The 1/3 content excerpt is what is shown to potential buyers so they can get an idea what the article is about.
