Hello
I posted my first article, received a rejection with 2 straight forward edits, made them, and now it's rejected again with no editing feedback???
I'm sure I'm the millionth newbie to post this to the seasoned writers here but how do we know WHAT to edit if I made the first edits and the 2nd rejection gives no reason for rejection? It seems to be a screwy method of informing writers to improve their grammar, structure, summary, essentially the CC writer's guidelines.
I'm of the school of writer's thought that sure, I need to do my job WELL and follow editors' submission guidelines to the T, but if I don't do something, tell me and I'll fix it to your standards asap. But I can't read algorithmic editing minds. Is this a computer program that spits back a rejection or a human? (I'm head deep into the Google Panda re-ranking on my Suite101 content site so computers making judgments has gotten a wee bit under my usually thick skin).
I absolutely LOVE that CC has high editorial standards. It's one of the reasons I sorted through the many sites and chose this, but without knowing where I missed the boat how do I change my article? Seems this process is an inefficient use of time on both the writer and the company's part, or is it me??
The email said to be sure to post the article title in the rejection forum, is that all you need to help me?
"Magnesium More Effective to Relieve Fibromyalgia Pain When Combined With Malic Acid."
AND, when I pulled up the article it appeared to be formatted for selling, a summary, keywords at the bottom etc. I'm a TOTAL newbie here, but it seemed "ready for primetime."
Many thanks for your help! I look forward to contributing to CC and meeting many of you in the forums (well, not in the REJECTION forums, LOL, but in the forums).
Laura
Pls advise on rejection w/no edits. What next?

Hi Laura,
Welcome to CC. I'm not sure what you mean when you say you 'pulled up the article'?
The editors are definitely human, and they're usually really helpful at pointing out why they're rejecting an article. But without any feedback on why they're rejecting your article there isn't much you can do besides contact support.

Thank you. I guess what I mean about "pulling up" is when I go to my content, the summary is there, it looks like it's ready to go live, but it's in rejection mode.
And I'm being sort of funny, I know we have human editors, but I recall reading perhaps in a Suite101 forum, that CC bounces back articles repeatedly, based on some sort of computer formula that checks for grammar, spelling etc.
The email told me to contact the forums, but I guess I'll contact support as well bcs I don't know what to change at this point. Thanks!

Ahh ok, I see what you mean by 'pulling up'...they just leave that stuff there so you don't have to type it all in again when you resubmit.
I don't write much for Suite so don't really read the forums, but maybe one or two writers are just disgruntled at having articles rejected?
Hopefully, support will be able to give you some answers
