Do the Editors use Software to Check Articles?

Wouldn't it be great if there was a software program that checked for structure, semantics, etc.

I received an email from a company named "White Smoke"/ I was wondering if their software is any good? Or if the editors know of any good software that will help authors write better?

The editors do something better than what a machine does. As of yet, no software program has been able to be as sensitive as a human being can be when reviewing articles.
