Customer is requesting a disallowed format

Post by SKetcham »

Ed:

A customer has specifically requested that I put his article up in xls format. According to the format guidelines, this is not allowed.

Would it be possible for me to attach the xls, but paste the text into the long summary for review?

Other ideas?

Thanks,
Sandra

Hi,
This has happened to me several times. It's fine so long as you mention it in the short summary with a brief note to Ed explaining.

I believe Ed can open .xls spreadsheets though I'm not sure about the Excel 2007 format and other formats. When in doubt, I try to include a .pdf or some other file version so he can see the content one way or the other for review purposes.

Hope this helps!

Very kind of you to include a .doc file of the article. Thanks.

I thought that sorting through the xls might make your brain hurt
